Aloha,

My name is Ms. Inouye. I've lived my entire life in Mililani, and graduated from Mililani High School in 2016. I graduated from the University of Hawaii at West Oahu with a Bachelors of Elementary Education in 2020. I worked my first year here at Daniel K. Inouye Elementary School as the special education teacher in an inclusion setting with 1st and 2nd grade. This will be my second year at DKIES. This school year I will be the special education teacher in an inclusion setting with Kindergarten and first grade.

When I find myself having some free-time on my hands, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. One thing that my family especially enjoys doing is traveling, at least once or twice a year, we try to take family vacations together. Our last big family vacation trip was to Japan- it was the first time traveling out of the country, for me, and I had an amazing time. I hope I will have the opportunity to travel soon.

I look forward to working with you and your child this school year! If you would like to contact me, please feel free to email me and I will get back to you within 48 hour working days.

Mahalo,

Ms. Inouye

wHY TEACHING?

From a really early age, I've always known that teaching would be my passion. From as long as I can remember, I've always loved working with and caring for children.  Having the opportunity to work with children inside and outside of the classroom, I quickly learned that one of the greatest rewards is being able to make an impact in a child's life.

As a teacher, I want my classroom to be a safe place for my students to learn. I want to create an environment where students feel empowered and confident to learn.
